This free-flowing online conversation starts with what participants have in mind. Held jointly with our sister clubs in Dubai, London and Berlin, it’s a chance to think through international affairs together rather than follow a fixed presentation.
Where the conversation might go
Participant interests come first. When a little structure helps, our rough guide is:
First hour: EU, Middle East and Africa
Second hour: Asia Pacific
Third hour: Thematic discussion
Expect overlaps and changes of direction as questions develop. This is a guide, not a fixed agenda; join or leave at your convenience.
Room to think freely
Camera-off is the default. You may choose to switch yours on for an introduction or another practical reason. Recording is not permitted. These ground rules support the free thinking we value.
We use Jitsi, an open-source video-conferencing platform. On desktop, the host recommends Chrome; Safari also works. On mobile, use the Jitsi app for Android or iOS.
