It's a Sunday-ish late morning. Someone in your life is being a lot. Maybe it's a coworker, a family member, or that roommate and their sink full of dishes. Normally your patience runs out at about this point. This series is about what happens if it doesn't.
From November through December, these 90-minute guided meditation classes look at a simple idea that's surprisingly hard to put into practice: how we love other people may be the biggest key to our own happiness. Love here is the everyday practical kind, not the greeting-card version. It's a real source of emotional well-being, and you can train it like any other skill.
What we'll practice together
Finding happiness through love, not in spite of other people
Cherishing and appreciating the people around you
Healing strained relationships with patience
Expanding love beyond your favorite people to everyone
Living day to day with more love and compassion
You'll leave each class with practical tools to cultivate a pure, loving mind and build relationships that actually mean something.
Four mornings, one theme
Your teacher for the series is Stephen Charles. When class wraps up, stick around for refreshments. It's a nice way to let the calm settle in before you go back out to Tingzhou Road. :)
