Some friendships start with a handshake. Better ones start with someone stealing your last resource card and apologizing in two languages.
보드게임 · ボードゲーム · 桌遊 · board games
This is a table for people in Taipei who like games, languages, and meeting someone from the other side of the world. Expats, locals, students, and travelers all sit down together. Nobody needs to be fluent. The game gives you something to talk about, so the small talk takes care of itself.
Your seat at the table
Play: pick up a board game with a mixed group of new faces.
Talk: the table runs mostly in English and Mandarin. Korean and Japanese speakers are just as welcome to swap a few words.
Sip: green tea is on the house, so your hands have something to do between turns.
Going alone? The game is your icebreaker, so you won't be the only new person there.
Where to find us
