Swap the city grey for gold. This is a one-day hiking trip to Sun Link Sea in Nantou, timed for the stretch of the year when the forest looks like someone turned the saturation all the way up.
What you're hiking into
Three things, and they're why we're going:
Autumn foliage. Reds and oranges overhead and crunchy leaves underfoot.
Ginkgo biloba. Those little fan-shaped leaves that go full yellow and make every photo look staged. (It isn't. They really are that colour.)
Natural forest. Real trees, real shade and real quiet. Your phone can come along, but it won't have much to do except take pictures.
It's one day
You don't need to book a hotel, and you won't spend all weekend convincing yourself to go. Head out, walk under the leaves, breathe air that has never seen a scooter, and you're back home by the end of the day. Your legs might bring it up tomorrow.
Where we're going
Before you sign up
The host hasn't posted the date, meeting point, price or trail difficulty here yet. Please ask the organizer for those before you commit. Then pack layers, comfortable shoes and enough phone storage for a lot of ginkgo photos.
Come walk with us. The leaves only turn once a year. 🍂
