Taipei Musical Karaoke (Halloween Special)

The Phantom's lair. Sweeney's barber chair. Elphaba's broom. This Halloween afternoon, the villains get the mic. Pick your favorite dark character, queue up their big number, and belt it for a room full of musical theatre fans who know every word. You can also skip singing and cheer louder than anyone.

House rule: keep it dark

The queue only takes songs about villains, spooky stories, dark characters, or Halloween. Think The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Sweeney Todd, Beetlejuice, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the Disney villains and more. Musicals in any language are welcome, so your Korean, Japanese, German or Mandarin cast recording counts too.

Bonus scenes

• Costume treats: Dress up and sing on stage to get a small gift.

• Guess the Musical: Play the song-guessing game for a chance at prizes.

• The audience role: It counts. Listen, cheer and meet the people next to you.

You don't need singing skills or a costume. Come alone or bring your whole coven.

You don't need to book. Pay at the door and come in any time between 1:00 and 5:00 PM. You'll find the club downstairs at B1, No. 286, Linsen N Rd, Zhongshan District, Taipei (open in Maps).
