Here's the twist: every 45 minutes, the language flips. You might start in English and be halfway through a story when it's suddenly 中文時間. The order isn't announced ahead of time, so nobody gets too comfortable. That's kind of the point.
How a night goes
You get three hours and two languages. English and Mandarin each get 90 minutes in total, split into 45-minute blocks. Which one comes first changes every time, so be ready to switch gears mid-sentence.
Working on Japanese, Spanish or something else? Go ahead and practice it during either block.
Around 20–50 people usually show up each session, and most of them just walk in without RSVPing on Meetup. You don't need to register. Come in, pour yourself some free black or green tea and find someone to talk to.

Three quick house rules
Take your trash home with you. We're a small team and there's nobody else to clean up.
Keep it down on your way out. The conversation can continue quietly outside.
You need to be 15 or older. This keeps the space working well for everyone who's there to talk.
