A new city can feel a little more familiar after a good conversation. Spend a relaxed Saturday evening meeting people in Taipei, sharing local tips, and finding company for another day’s plans. Coming alone is completely normal. 👋
International and exchange students, Mandarin learners, travelers, expats, international residents, and locals are all welcome. You don’t need to be a student, and a visit of just a few days is plenty of reason to come. Already living here? Bring your Taipei stories and meet someone new.
Two floors, your own pace
Move freely between both floors. Karaoke is optional, and there’s no pickleball at the venue—just a chance to meet people you could play with another day.
No formal program, no pressure to perform
There’s no assigned host or formal program. The bar owner, a friend of the organizer, will welcome you and help you settle in. The organizer may arrive a little later to meet everyone and take photos of the evening.
The idea comes from the organizer’s own time at language schools abroad, where welcome events helped them feel connected to a new city. After more than two years organizing Taipei social events, they want to offer that same kind of starting point here.
Chat, listen to music, or try a game of darts. You can choose your own pace, and alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks are available.

After 10:00 PM · Optional bar hopping
If you’d like to keep hanging out, you can form a group with other guests and explore Taipei’s nightlife together. This is optional, not a hosted extension of the evening. Transportation, additional drinks, and any venue entrance fees afterward are not included in the ticket.

Please RSVP here first—it takes about a minute, and you’ll receive an event reminder and important updates before Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome too; registering simply helps the organizer know you’re coming.
