By evening, the valley changes register: warm light settles around Guguan’s hot-spring town; later in the year, Lishan’s high mountain darkness becomes a Christmas scene above the clouds.
The sixth Mountain Valley Light Festival unfolds in two separate destinations and two seasonal chapters—light art meeting forest landscapes, local character, and time spent outdoors after dark. Admission is free.
September 4–November 1, 2026

A giant OhBear installation, immersive light presentations, interactive installations, and nighttime music activities bring a playful pulse to the mountain evening. Make a night of it with the spirit of Taiwan Good Hot Spring: soak, wander, and stay with the lights a little longer.

Lishan welcomes the year’s final season with high-mountain scenery and Christmas atmosphere. In the plaza before Lishan Guest House, two historically significant cedars—each approximately 28 metres tall—are illuminated as the landmark Christmas Tree Above the Clouds. Continue through the light environments around Lishan Visitor Center and Lishan Scenic Viewing Platform, where cedar silhouettes, mountain night, and festive light meet.
