Meet people from different countries and spend an hour speaking Japanese together. No English needed: this is a casual exchange for Japanese speakers and learners, from students to working adults across a wide range of ages. 🌏

The event takes place simultaneously across 15 countries or regions, with more than 24 other groups. Conversation stays in Japanese throughout.

Small groups, more chances to talk

You’ll talk in groups of about four. Around every 30 minutes, groups change or are adjusted so you can meet different people. Organizers try to mix nationalities within each group.

Japanese teachers are also present, offering opportunities to practice everyday Japanese and business Japanese. This is an exchange, not a formal class.

When and how to join

• Time: 21:00–22:00 Japan time. The host also lists 20:00–21:00 without specifying that time zone.

• Date: Not supplied; check with the organizer before joining.

• Cost: Free.

• Place: Online via Zoom.

• Flexibility: Join late or leave early as needed.
