Bring the question that stuck with you after the news. Someone in London has a take, and someone in Berlin pushes back. You log off understanding the story a bit better than when you joined.
That's the whole idea: an open conversation about world events, held online with our sister clubs in Dubai, London and Berlin. It isn't recorded.
Your questions go first
There's no set reading and no lecture. We start with whatever participants want to raise or ask about, then follow whatever catches on. If the room goes quiet, we fall back on a loose map:
HOUR 1 ── EU · Middle East · Africa
HOUR 2 ── Asia Pacific
HOUR 3 ── Thematic
In plain words: the first hour covers the EU, the Middle East and Africa. The second hour turns to Asia Pacific, and the third goes thematic. It's only a rough guide, and expect overlaps. Regions rarely stay in their own lane anyway.
House rules, short version
Cameras stay off, except maybe when you want to say hi during intros. We don't allow recordings, so people can think out loud and change their minds halfway through a sentence. We value free thinking.
The Chatham House Rule applies. You can use what you hear, but don't name or identify who said it.
Before you log on
Get the session link from this event and keep it somewhere handy. Stay for one hour or all three. Join late or leave early whenever it suits you, and nobody will ask why.
