Two pubs, one crew, and a table where you can switch between English and 中文 halfway through a sentence. Every Saturday at 7:30 PM, travelers, locals and expats in their 20s and 30s meet up for language exchange that turns into a proper night out.
How the night goes
7:30 PM is the warm-up. Find the group, grab a name, and figure out who's teaching you Taiwanese slang tonight.
Pub one, then pub two. The hosts hand-pick two bars around the city, and they change every week. Regulars still get somewhere new each Saturday.
You don't need fluent anything. Bring the language you're learning, the one you can teach, and a bit of curiosity.
Who you'll meet
People who live in Taipei and want more friends outside work, and people who landed this week and want to see the city with locals. It's an open-minded crowd, and nobody minds if your Mandarin tones are a work in progress.
