Travellers who landed this week. Locals who know which night market is actually worth the queue. People three years into Taipei life, and people just planning their next trip. It's one relaxed Thursday crowd, and you're invited.
What actually happens
People talk. That's the whole programme, and it works. Taipei Travellers and Locals hosts informal socials where visitors, newcomers and long-time residents end up chatting with people they'd never meet on a normal weeknight.
Meet travellers passing through and locals who call Taipei home
Swap tips: hidden hikes, the best beef noodle soup, or where to go after Taiwan
Make friends, find travel buddies, or just enjoy a good conversation
Hear stories from people with very different backgrounds
Coming alone?
Most people do. There's no sign-up drama and no awkward icebreaker games. Just turn up, say hello and see who you end up talking to. Nobody stays a stranger for long.
Where
No. 1-2, Section 1, Roosevelt Rd, Zhongzheng District. Taipei might be your home, your latest destination or one stop on a longer trip. Either way, there's a spot in the circle for you.
