Your First Salsa Lesson - First Time Free

Eight o'clock on a Friday, somewhere under Nanjing East Road. A room of strangers is counting one, two, three… five, six, seven. You're one beat behind, and so is the person across from you. Then the rotation call comes, you change partners, and it suddenly makes sense.

One hour of basics, then the dance floor

This is Copa Taiwan's October Salsa trial class, made for people who have never danced salsa. You don't need a partner because everyone rotates during class, so you'll dance with lots of people.

The class runs from 8:00 to 9:00 PM. Right after it, the Social Party starts, and you can try your new steps to real music while they're still fresh.

How to get the free spot

Pre-register online and your first Class + Social Party costs nothing. From your second visit on, it's NTD 600 per class and party.

Finding ODORO

ODORO is on the basement floor (B1) at No. 5, Lane 335, Sec. 3, Nanjing E. Rd., Songshan District.

• Take the MRT to Nanjing Fuxing: Green Line Exit 8, or Brown Line Exit 7

• Walk along Nanjing E. Rd. toward Taipei Arena

• Turn left at the FamilyMart into Lane 335

• ODORO is on your left, across from the 7-ELEVEN
