A PhD in Eastern Aesthetics. More than a thousand students who found some peace and joy through classical Chinese painting and poetry. And now, two quiet conversations a week, offered in English, to anyone carrying something heavy.
You don't need to read Chinese or know a Song dynasty from a Tang one. You just need to show up as you are.
Who you'll be talking to
An artist and healing coach who knows hard seasons from the inside. She is visually impaired and has been through seven surgeries. Along the way, color and pattern became her way back to life. They helped her heal, and they also changed how she sees.
That's the lens she brings to your 45 minutes. Not a lecture, and definitely not a pop quiz on ink-wash techniques.
How a session goes
You bring whatever is on your heart: a feeling, a struggle, or a question you've been quietly sitting with.
She offers reflections drawn from classical Eastern patterns, poems, and paintings that connect to what you're going through.
Nobody tries to fix you. Nobody hands you a five-step plan.
Grabbing a slot
There are only two sessions each week, so pick the time that suits you.
One small, optional request: if the conversation meant something to you, you're warmly invited to share a few words afterward about your experience with Eastern aesthetics. What you write could help the next person who is struggling find their way here.
