Jazz Thursdays

Thursday nights at The Library Bar in Dadaocheng come with live jazz from local musicians, and the music can wander into a jam at any point.

No dress code to puzzle over, no program to study. Show up, order a drink and let the band take the evening wherever it goes.

What actually happens

The night is built on Taipei players doing what they do best. They play the tunes, react to the room and each other, and sometimes jam when a song feels like stretching out. You'll hear the music grow in real time, a few feet from the people making it.

It works as a midweek reset on your own, a first-date spot with built-in conversation pieces, or a reason to finally drag your friends to Dadaocheng after dark.

Finding the bar

The Library Bar sits on Xining North Road in historic Dadaocheng. It's a part of Taipei where the old streets do half the mood-setting before you even walk in.
