A full-day coastal escape from Taipei, combining Wangyougu’s newly reopened trail, views toward Keelung Island, Heping Island’s dramatic shoreline, and an evening feast at Keelung Night Market. The hike is beginner-friendly and mostly stairs—but the day itself is long, social, and packed with scenery.

Meet 9:00–9:10 AM at Yuanshan MRT Station, Exit 2, beside Yuanshan Park. The stop for bus 1579 is behind the station, not directly outside the exit.

Expected expenses

Bus fares are approximately NT$91 + NT$30 + NT$15, lunch NT$150–200, and the train to Taipei NT$41. Heping Island admission is NT$120, or NT$60 with student ID. A TPASS may reduce transport costs.
