A Friday night in 西門 can start with one simple thing: order from the bar, say hello, and see where the conversation goes.

This is a relaxed language-exchange meetup for practising English, Chinese, and other languages through casual conversation. Come solo, meet international and local friends, and use the language you’re learning without the pressure of a class.

There’s no cover charge. Please make a first purchase of at least NT$200—one drink or food item—from The 58 Bar. That NT$200 goes toward what you order; after that, regular menu prices apply.

Expect snacks, entrées, soft drinks, adult beverages, Taiwanese craft beer, and English-style food. Fries or dried squid snack will also be provided on the day.
