Nine languages, one bar on the 15th floor, and a room full of people who'd like to hear about your week, in any language except the one you're most comfortable in.

台灣朋友 · Taiwanese friends

Can't get abroad to practice? You don't need to. Come up to Vue Bar, find a foreign friend who's also learning, and take turns. Or find another Taiwanese learner and swap notes on the long road to fluency. 一起進步吧！

New to Taiwan?

Get off the couch and out of the expat bubble. This is the easiest way to meet Taiwanese friends. You can also just show up, practice a language, have a beer and relax.

Friendly hosts are at every meetup. They'll help you settle in and find someone to practice with, and they're always happy to chat with you themselves. Coming alone is completely fine, and bringing friends is welcome too.

One more favor: when someone new walks in, say hi. Remember how good it felt when somebody did that for you.
