(Online) A Little English, A Little Wakayama

No textbook, no slides, no topic of the day. This is a small online circle for people in Wakayama City. Everyone takes a turn talking, in English, about what's actually been on their mind.

How a session goes

1. We log on and settle in.

2. One by one, each person shares something: a thing that happened this week, a small win, something bugging you, or whatever is on your mind.

3. The group listens, reacts and asks questions. Then it's the next person's turn.

That's it. Nobody brings a topic, because the topic is you. It's partly a chat and partly a regular check-in with yourself, with some friendly faces on the screen.

About your English

You'll need enough spoken English to follow along and say your piece. Still, stumbling, pausing and searching for words are all completely fine. Connecting matters more than grammar here. Nobody is grading anyone.

Who's hosting

Hi, I'm Tim. I'm originally from Taiwan, and I'll be in Wakayama for three months starting in November. I'd love to meet some of the people who live here, and an easygoing conversation circle seemed like a good way to do it.
