The slowest-looking martial art in the park is still a martial art. Every unhurried turn of a Tai Chi form has a purpose, and you only start to feel it once you're doing it yourself instead of watching from a bench.
This meetup covers both halves of the practice: Tai Chi as a martial art, with its rooted stances and flowing, deliberate movement, and Qigong, which works with breath, posture and attention. You don't need to be fast. Being on time is enough.
Finding the group
Skip the hunt across the plaza. Everyone meets at exit 5 of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall MRT Station. Come up the stairs and you're in the right place.
A small tip before you go
Come for the martial art, stay for the breathing, and leave a little looser than you arrived.
