You walk in alone at 7:30. By 10 PM you know enough names to head out with a group. That's how Friday works at Taipei Weekend Social.
Your Friday, in two parts
The early part of the night is quieter on purpose. You get time to talk before the music gets loud. Hosts greet new faces and bring you into conversations, so nobody spends the first hour staring at their phone by the bar.
Around 10, anyone who wants to keep going heads to the next stop together. You don't plan the route. Stay for one bar or ride it out, it's up to you. Want the social only? That's fine too.
Who's usually in the room
Solo travelers, expats, people who just moved here, international students, remote workers, and Taiwanese locals who like meeting people from all over. English and Mandarin both float around naturally. It's a social, not a language class, and you really don't have to be outgoing.
