For ten years, one dedicated crew has kept Wednesday night Korean practice going, rain or shine. Typhoon season? Still there. Midterms? Still there. Ten years in, they're opening the doors wider.
Now at the table: English and French
The Korean group isn't going anywhere. What's new is that anyone who wants to practice English or French is now officially invited too. So one evening covers three languages, and you get a lot more people to talk to.
Maybe you picked up half your Korean from K-dramas. Maybe your English comes from binge-watching series with the subtitles off. Maybe you've been quietly rehearsing un café, s'il vous plaît for a Paris trip that's still a daydream. All of that counts. Show up, grab a drink, and start talking.
What it costs
NT$200 gets you in and covers one drink, alcoholic or not (酒水). Nothing to prepare and no level check. Just bring the language you want to practice and maybe the one you can help others with.
Finding us
Head up to Ozora on the 15th floor of the Illume Hotel, 敦化北路100號. Look for the table where people keep switching languages mid-sentence. That's us.
