One topic. A room of curious people. Enough structure to keep the conversation moving—and enough openness for it to go somewhere unexpected.
This bi-weekly, in-person meetup is a place to test ideas, hear perspectives that may challenge your own, and practice expressing what you actually think. No philosophy degree, assigned reading, or knowledge of famous thinkers required.
The conversation, not a lecture
Each meetup explores one question or theme. The topic and optional jump-off prompts are shared in the WhatsApp group. They are there to open doors—not prescribe answers.
When attendance grows beyond seven or eight people, the room divides into smaller circles. That keeps the exchange personal, balanced, and genuinely conversational.
A typical afternoon
3:30–3:45 PM — Arrive, settle in, and meet the room
3:45–3:55 PM — Introduction, guidelines, and the week’s topic
3:55–5:15 PM — Small-group discussion
5:15–5:30 PM — One-minute summaries, closing thoughts, and a group photo
After 5:30 PM — The formal session ends; informal conversation often continues
All times are Taipei local time. Please arrive during the opening window—late arrivals can interrupt the flow once groups begin.
Come as you are
You are welcome to attend alone. Religious, academic, personal, and other perspectives can all enter the discussion; the meetup does not promote a single school of philosophy.
Attendance is free. If a session takes place in a café, please purchase a drink. Any contribution toward a rented space is always voluntary.
For everyone’s privacy, do not privately contact another participant without their explicit consent. This policy helps keep the community respectful and safe.
Join the WhatsApp group for the next topic, prompts, location updates, and session details.
