Taipei Friday Solo Travelers & Expats Social + Hosted Bar Hopping

Arriving on your own? Our hosts help with the first introductions, so you don't have to start every conversation yourself. Settle in with your included drink and get to know people before deciding how late to make it.

Taipei Weekend Social brings together solo travelers, expats, newcomers, international students, remote workers and Taiwanese locals. You don't need to be especially outgoing. English and Mandarin are commonly spoken; the point is to socialize, not take a language class.

Every Friday: meet first, head out later

Start with a drink and conversation. Hosts welcome new guests and help people get acquainted before the night moves on.

Around 10 PM, hosts gather anyone who wants to continue and lead the group onward. Depending on the night, the destination may be Maji Square or Xinyi District—there's no fixed destination promised.

Come just for the social, head out for one stop, or keep going longer. The hosts stay with the group when bar hopping begins, so you don't have to work out the next stop yourself.

• NT$400 per person, including one drink.

• Coming with a friend? NT$350 each.

• Choose beer, wine or a non-alcoholic drink. Drinking alcohol isn't required.
